Daisy Jane Capone-Friend, 83, of Manor Township, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She was born April 6, 1928, in Kittanning, a daughter of Robert Conway and Goldie (Flenner) Conway. She worked for Angie Sgro for many years as a waitress and also at FMC Industries in Indiana. After that, she was a caregiver. Daisy loved being with her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her friends at Valley View Heights. Survivors include her daughters, Catherine (Capone) McAfoose and Amber (Capone) Rybarick and her husband, Tom; son, Anthony Capone and his wife, Cindy; six grandchildren, Laura Wyant, Tommy Rybarick, Chris Capone, Elizabeth Luketic, Angie Capone and Carrie Lynn Capone; great-grandchildren, Emily Wyant, Abby Wyant, Gracie Wyant, Logan Rybarick, Dylan Rybarick, Joshua Luketic and Vincent Anthony O'Hara; step grandchildren, Daniel, David, Michael and Tyler; and brother, William Conway. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Anthony Capone; second husband, Joe Friend; and sister, Margaret McMillen. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME in Kittanning. The funeral service will be private. Interment in Slate Lick Cemetery.
