EDWARD SORRELL, SHELBYVILLE, DIES
Hunnewell, Mo., Dec. 3.—Funeral services for Edward Andrew Sorrell, 75, were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 in the Givan funeral home here, conducted by the Rev. John W. Golden of Hannibal.
Mr. Sorrell died Saturday afternoon at 5.30 in Shelbyville. He was born July 16, 1876, in Illinois, a son of William and Amanda Carmen Sorrell. He was married to Miss Minnie Clarkston, who died in 1930. Before his wife's death, Mr. Sorrell lived in Hunnewell but after she died he resided with his children.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lottie Beckley of Clarence and Mrs. Hubert Dickerson of South Greenfield; three sons, Roy of Shelbyville, James of Palmyra and Melvin of near Shelbyville: six sisters, Mrs. Nettie Kinger of Washington, Mrs. Mary Hamilton of Hannibal, Mrs. Edith Hamilton of Frankford and Mrs. Emma Mayes, Mrs. Coreia Zinn and Mrs. Effie Kinzer of Hunnewell, and two brothers, Oscar of Hannibal and William of Frankford. Two daughters preceded him in death.
