Daughter of William Lloyd and Sarah Elizabeth Dowless Perritt, wife of Samuel Franklin Godbold.

ROSEBORO — Mrs. Telatha Perritt Godbold, 89, passed away Monday, February 25, 2008, at her home. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 29, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Peters Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Baldwin, the Rev. Mike McGuirt and the Rev. Jason Canady officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.

Mrs. Godbold was a daughter of the late William Lloyd and Sarah Elizabeth Dowless Perritt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Godbold; a grandson, Michael Faircloth; and a granddaughter, Lisa Canady.

She was an Avon agent for more than 25 years.

Mrs. Godbold is survived by three daughters, Julia G. Faircloth of Hope Mills, Nell Canady of Vander and Ginger Smith of Fayetteville; a son, Sammy Godbold of Fayetteville; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
