She was born in Wisner, Nebraska on April 11, 1920 to Charles Edmond Bendon and Margaret Ann Adams. After graduating high school she moved to the New Plymouth area in 1938.
She met Walter Robertson and the couple was married December 6, 1939 in Emmett at which time she became a mother to Roy Robertson. In 1945 they moved to Payette. Of this union 4 children were born; Gary, Linda, Dennis and James. Walter preceded her in death on March 2, 1983.
On October 6, 1990 she married James Milo Bell in Payette. He passed away in June of 1996. She moved to Fruitland in 1991 where she lived until her death. She went to Beauty School in 1959 and worked as a beautician until her retirement in 1991.
She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Payette and later the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Fruitland. She loved playing pinochle and belonged to a pinochle group for many years.
She is survived by four children, Roy "Mary Lee" Robertson, of Waldport, of Oregon, Linda Ward, of Fruitland, Dennis "Joyce" Robertson, of Boise and James "Patti" Robertson, of Payette; three stepchildren, Jim Bell, of Payette, Lynda Harrison, of Kentucky and Debbie, of Idaho; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Dewaine Bendon, two sisters, Eulalia Everhart, Norma Deshazer, and a son, Gary Robertson, of Stayton, Oregon, who passed away 8 hours prior to her death.
A visitation will be held at the Haren-Wood Funeral Chapel in Payette on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 4 -6 pm with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 6 pm. A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 10:30 am. Services are under the direction of the Haren-Wood Funeral Chapel, Payette.
