STEPHEN WILT.
Newark, Mo., July 28. — Stephen S. Wilt, 79, died suddenly Wednesday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Latimer, a few miles south of Newark just over the line in Shelby county.
Mr. Wilt was born in the state of Ohio, coming with his parents to Shelby county when quite young, where he was married. His wife preceded him in death many years ago. He leaves a son, Roy, and a daughter, Maude, at whose home he died.
The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the Baptist church, conducted by the Rev. Henry White, of La Belle. A quartet composed of Mrs. Mattie Steffen, Mrs. Mary L. Spees, Walter Lear and Carl Martin sang, accompanied by Mrs. Mabel K. Keethler.
