John G. Grothaus Dies at Farm Home
John G Grothaus 67 a native and lifetime resident of Adams county (sic) died unexpectedly late Monday at his farm hone southwest of Hastings. He had been hospitalized for a time recently.
Survivors are his wife Mabel; daughters, Mrs. Ray Hut of Lincoln, Mrs. Franklin Lundin and Mrs. Nelson Sylvester of Springfield, Va., Mrs. Robert Versaw of Hastings, Mrs. Robert Nygard and Miss Darlene Grothaus of Denver; eight grandchildren and his brother and sisters, Harry Grothaus, Mrs. Mary Eischen and Miss Elizabeth Grothaus of Hastings, Mrs. Frank Placke of Superior and Mrs. Ben Forrett of Chariton, la.
The Butler-Volland Funeral Home is in charge of services.
