Pioneer Bluffs Doctor Dies Of Heart Trouble
Dr. Basil M. Webster, one of the oldest Physicians in the western part of Iowa, died Thursday at his home, 200 Fletcher avenue, Council Bluffs, after an illness of several months of heart trouble.
Dr. Webster was born in Pomeroy, O., and came to Council Bluffs thirty-one years ago. He was 71 years old.
He was a thirty-second degree Mason and a Knight Templar. The Masonic lodge had charge of the funeral services, which were held at the residence at 11 o'clock this morning.
The Rev. Wilford E. Mann, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal church, Council Bluffs, preached the funeral sermon. Relatives say it was Dr. Webster's wish that no flowers be sent. Burial was in Walnut Hill cemetery.
He is survived by his widow and one daughter, Mrs. C.E. Woodbury of Council Bluffs.
