She was baptized in infancy in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was also confirmed on March 31, 1901.

Her husband died Aug. 4, 1932, after which she lived in Deshler and Hebron for a number of years, and then made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Edna Duncan.

She was in poor health being afflicted with neuritis and heart trouble. On March 24, of this year, she was taken to the Convalescent Home in Hebron for care and treatment, where she passed away Friday evening, August 27.

She leaves to mourn her departure, three daughters, Mrs. Ida Millers of Rogers, Ark.: Mrs. Edna Duncan and Miss Velma Achterberg; two sons-in-law, Joe Duncan and Main Miller; three sisters, Mrs. C. W. Hespen of Deshler, Mrs. Albert Kreinbring, Sidney, and Minnie Johns of Syracuse; one brother, August Meyer, of Deshler; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Hespen and St. Peter's Lutheran Church. The Rev. A.G. Degner spoke words of comfort on Phil. 3,20.21. A quartet, composed of the Misses Harriett Werner, Kathleen Holle, Ruth and Norma Koerwitz, sang "Just As I Am".
