He was the son of Parnell Norman and Delrey Rejetta (Estes) O'Barr.
He married Brenda Wallis in March, 1962 in Hall County, Georgia.
They had one son, Christopher Mark O'Barr.

Mr. Louie D. O'Barr, 65, of 2538 Skyland Trail, Atlanta, died Monday, October, 26, 1998 at Northside Hospital, Atlanta.
Born in Hart County, he was a son of the late Parnell O'Barr and Delrey Estes O'Barr. He was retired from Theatre Services Inc., Atlanta, and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are son, Mark O'Barr of Atlanta; brother, Alvin O'Barr of Stockbridge; sisters: Inez Boleman of Hartwell, Edna Sanders of Anderson, S.C., Bobbie Martin of Powder Springs and Robbie Roberts of Marietta.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ted Kelley officiating.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, c/o Ruth Skelton, 97 Benson Street, Hartwell, GA 30643.
Strickland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
