Ernest Clifton Burns was a truck driver. He was murdered in Shreveport LA by Winston "Plunk" Jones, a 56 year old man, who was robbing Ernest and his companion Irene Gordon. When Ernest confronted Plunk for stealing items from his vehicle, Plunk beat him to death with a fence post. It would be 7 years before Plunk was arrested and charged with the murder.
