SUNDERLAND
Miss Alice Aiken, died Sunday afternoon at 3:25 o'clock in the Springfield Hospital. She had been a nurse for many years and a large part of her practice was in this town. She went to Springfield about a week ago and was taken ill with influenza shortly after her arrival and was removed to the hospital. Miss Aiken was born Aug. 3, 1875, in Sunderland and was the daughter of Caroline Grover and Carlos Aiken. She leaves three sisters, Mrs. Ely Dickinson and Mrs. James Spencer of Montague and Mrs. Lena Richardson of Athol and three brothers, John of North Leverett, Walter of North Hadley and Oscar of California. The funeral was held in the home of her brother, John Aiken at North Leverett, this afternoon at 2 o'clock.
