Kathleen "Mama" Bridgers, 89, died of cancer, Monday, December 1 1, 2000, at Central Mississippi Medical Center. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Bethesda Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home and Thursday 1-2 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Bridgers is a lifelong resident of Terry and a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church where at an early age she served in many different positions in the church. She enjoyed crocheting as her favorite pastime. You could always hear her saying that "She felt like she had crocheted her way into heaven." She especially enjoyed crocheting for her family and friends. She was a home-maker for most of her life.
Survivors include: son, Jack Bridgers of Terry; daughter, Liddell Bridgers Odom of Richland; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Bethesda Baptist Church Building Fund County. She had lived in Terry more than 75 years. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
