Lang/Thames family enjoys reunion on Sunday, October 8, 1995 the descendants of the J.M. "Matt" Lang family held its first Lang/Thames reunion at the Magee park.

Jeannie and Matt had three children, two of which are deceased.

Bobbie Lang Magee is the only surviving child. She was honored for being the oldest person in attendance.

William Virgil Lang was the only son of this union. He and Etta Stubbs Lang had two children, both of whom were in attendance.

Letha Lang Thames Grice had a total of eight children, seven of which were in attendance. Sadie James of Mobile traveled the farthest and had the most family members in attendance (14).

There were 79 family members in attendance. We began the day with each family getting in a group and introducing each family.

Leland "Bill" Thames began by showing an ax handle which was a pattern developed by our great grandfather, Jospeh Lang.

Wayne Thames one of the grandsons gave the invocation and blessing before we enjoyed a very, very good lunch.

A business session was called and the following officers were elected for our next years reunion. Joelyn May, president, Jean Sullivan, secretary, and Kelly Thames as treasurer. We plan to have the second reunion the last Sunday of September or the first Sunday in October of 1996.
