MRS. JOHANNA SASSENBERGER Adam Sassenberger of Lincoln, Neb., a former resident of Ashland, ILL., was here over the weekend greeting old friends and visiting relatives. While here he informed us of the death of his wife and gave us the following clipping from the Lincoln, Nebraska, Star: Mrs. Johanna Sassenberger was born in Ashland, Ill., March 13, 1858 and died in Lincoln May 14, 1931. She was united in marriage to Adam Sassenberger in 1880 at Petersburg, Ill.. She was the mother of nine children: Mrs. W. A. Miller of Lincoln, Mrs. N. B. Eshorn of Laurel, Mont., John W. of San Gabriel, Cal.; Adam Jr. of Lincoln; Graver of Minneapolis, and four children deceased., She is also survived by seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Katherine Call of Curran, Ill., and one brother, Thomas P. Butler of Pleasant Plains, Ill. Mr. and Mrs. Sassenberger celebrated their golden wedding anniversary June 30, 1930.
