ANDERSON,Ind.--Rutherford H. Atkinson, 76, Anderson, died Saturday at his home.
Mr. Atkinson, who was born in Summitville, moved to Muncie in 1939 and had lived in Madison County since 1962. He worked in quality control at Delco-Remy, retiring in 18-974. He was a member of Eagles Lodge, Alexandria, and was an Air Force veteran of World War II.
His wife, Anita Viola Atkinson, died in 1987. A brother, Robert Atkinson, and a sister, Virginia Waler, are also deceased.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Parson Mortuary, Muncie. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery, Muncie. Calling is 5-8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
