Doris Kone Bowen, 80, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone, peacefully passed away Friday morning, August 23, 1996.

Born October 4, 1915 in Tooele, Utah to William Walter Kone and Johana Gillett Kone. Married Norman J. Bowen, August 22, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Doris was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held many positions throughout her life. Her greatest joy in life was always her family and later on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Doris always enjoyed learning, teaching, music, genealogy and crocheting gifts for everyone. She was always around to give a helping hand to those in need.Survived by husband, Norman; children, Paula Owens, Darell and Beverly Bowen; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Gail Warburton, Joan Anderson and Carol Aardema and brother, Farrell Kone
