JOYCE ILENE RIGGS
Joyce Ilene Riggs, Sullivan and formerly of Shelburn, passed away at 3:28 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at Sullivan County Community Hosiptal.
She was born July 31, 1924, in Shelburn to Ross and Mable McClanahan Marts.
She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, Ira, who died in 1987; and one son, Lloyd, who died in 2008.
Survivors include three sons, Richard, Sherrill and Keith Riggs; one sister, Eva Hoesman; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Westlawn Cemetery, Farmersburg, with Pastor Don Ransford officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery. Mattox-McHugh Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
