His widow, Camille T Sandiford Allen, filed a CSA pension application in Dodge County. She says she married James A. Sandiford in Pulaski County on Feb 4, 1869. He served as a private in Co. I of the 6th Ga regiment until the surrender. He was wounded in his left arm. He died on June 15, 1889. She married James Allen in Aug. 1911. Her burial and that of her second husband are unknown at this time.
