Maxwell Porter Winder, 65, died Friday, Dec. 6, 1968 at his residence at Hudgins.
Mr. Winder was a retired employee of the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company and was a member of Mathews Baptist Church, and Oriental Lodge No. 20, AF & AM.
A funeral service was held at 2 pm Sunday at the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, conducted by the Rev. T. Winston Parker, pastor of Mathews Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. Charles H. Jones of Kempsville.
