G. Finley Haas, 93, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Connersville.

He is survived by five stepchildren, Carol D. King of Indianapolis, Michael A. (Lorelei) Lamberson and Karen Schube, both of Connersville, and Debra J. and Joe Sink of Clarksville, Tenn.; a brother, Robert (Sylvia) Haas of Bloomington; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Bessie Faye (Cain) Haas; three wives, Betty Dickey, Myrtle Foister and Patricia Lower Schube; two brothers, Leonard and Paul Haas; three sisters, Jessie Everling, Alice Henninger and Golda Tumey; and a stepson, Paul A. Schube.

The Revs. Brian Powell and Robert D. "Pete" Taylors will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Heights Church of Christ, 2752 W. State Road 44, Connersville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, 920 Central Ave., Connersville, and from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bluff Creek Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the New Heights Church of Christ capital improvement fund.
