On October 2, 1966 he was united in marriage to Mabel Pratt in Sandpoint, Idaho. He had lived in Clark Fork, ID for 5 years prior to moving to Sandpoint in 1966. He had helped with the construction of the 7th Day Adventist Academy.
He had served with the Army in WWI and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel, Sandpoint; a son Maurice Otterbeck of Subic Bay, Philippines, a daughter Mrs. Margaret Borkman, Chico, California, 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and one stepson, Don Pratt of Sandpoint.
Funeral services will be held from the Moon Chapel Tuesday August 31st at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Jack Love officiating.
Interment will follow at the Pinecrest Memorial Park.
