A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Private graveside services will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Jordan Catholic School, Rock Island.

Caroline was born Oct. 15, 1921, in Rock Island, the daughter of Joseph and Providence Amato Bileddo. She married her soul mate, Maurice "Joe" DeCapp on Aug. 4, 1945, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rock Island. He died July 26, 2011, just a week short of their 65th wedding anniversary.

She loved farming with her husband. In early years, Caroline had been employed at Servus Rubber and at Lagomarcino's, but her main work in life was caring for her family.

She enjoyed knitting and swimming and was an exceptional roller skater. As a young girl, she was asked to audition for the Ice Capades, but was unable to carry that through. Caroline enjoyed the visits of her daughter Diane's dog, Micki.

Survivors include her daughter, Diane Hahn, Rock Island; son, Gerald (Marlene) DeCapp, Kenosha, Wis.; grandchildren, Jennifer Hahn, Rock Island, and Joel (Keri) Hahn, Moline; great-granddaughter, Allie; her brother, Joe (Sue); sisters, Annie and Sarah; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; daughter, Kathy; her parents; a sister, Mary; brothers, John and Sam; and her son-in-law, Mike.
