Roland G. Morin, age 85 years, a lifelong area resident, formerly residing at the Napoli Home, died late Monday evening October 31, 2011, in the Saint Albans Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Saint Albans on February 6, 1926, he was the son of the late Harvey and Florida (Therrien) Morin. For most of his working life Roland owned and operated a dairy farm in Swanton and assisted his sister with the daily operation of Brunelle's Restaurant in Saint Albans Town.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Laura Morin of Swanton and many nieces and nephews in the United States and Canada.

In addition to his parents, Roland was predeceased by a brother, Romuald Joseph " Pete" Morin and two sisters, Alphea Blanchette and Theresa Palmer.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday November 4, 2011, at 2 p.m. from the Morin family lot in Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, 65 Canada Street, Swanton. Father Thomas D. Nadeau will officiate. There will be no calling hours.
