Mr. John Wesley Therrell died at his home in the Gordon Mountain section on Sunday, January 5, 1930.He was 78 years old and a farmer by trade.
He was the son of the late David and Margaret "Maggie" Johnson Therrell. He was the Husband of Mrs. Mary Jane Hubbard Therrell.
Also Surviving, four daughters, Mrs. John (Sarah Minnie) Hargett, of Monroe, NC; Mrs. James W.(Maggie) Russell, of Wadesboro township; Mrs. Herbert (Annie) Yoder of Hickory, NC; Mrs. Eli (Julia) Baker of Lanesboro township; five sons, James H. Therrell, who lives at home; William W. Therrell, of Concord; John D. Therrell, of Lanesboro; Lester H. Therrell, of Lanesboro; and Louis M. Therrell of Hartsville, SC.; Two Brothers, William Daniel Therrell, of Chesterfield, SC and David Curtis Therrell of Cheraw, SC.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Daisy Viola "Ola" Therrell Chavis.
Funeral Services were held on Monday, January 6, 1930 and interment was in the Hubbard Cemetery.
Mr Therrell was a member of Poplar Hill Methodist Church, and was an unselfish and indulgent father and husband, and had many friends.
