Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Havard, 86, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clint Hines officiating. Burial was in the Huntington Cemetery.
Mrs. Havard died in a Jasper hospital Friday morning. She was born in Angelina County, August 25, 1879 and had been a resident of Angelina County most of her life. At the time of her death she resided in Roganville and was a member of the Baptist church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Rena Barclay of Roganville and Miss Jewel Havard of Gonzales; two sons, Horatio Havard of Huntington and Boley Havard of Galena Park; brothers, Henry Widner of San Augustine and Alvin Widner of Lufkin; 17 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
