Irma J. Hoff, 70, Rapid City, died Wednesday, May 22, 1996, at a local nursing home.

Irma was born April 30, 1926, in New Underwood to Andrew and Inez (Masek) Comer.

On Sept. 27, 1946, she married William Hoff in Rapid City. To this union two sons were born, Bill Hoff and Jim Hoff.

During the time Irma and her husband lived in Rapid City, she worked for the phone company. Later they moved to New Underwood, where they owned and operated a service station.

They moved back to Rapid City in 1954, and Irma then worked as a cook for nursing homes.

She is survived by her two sons, Bill Hoff and Jim Hoff, both of Rapid City; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Behrens Mortuary and one hour before services at the church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dwight Stensgaard officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
