Benjamin Davis Witt 51, died at his home near Huddleston Tuesday afternoon after some months of ill health. Funeral services will be held Thursday in Leftwich Methodist Church of which he was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Born in Bedford County October 5, 1891, Mr Witt was the son of William Ward Witt and Lockey Jane Burnett Witt. He was an employee for 25 years of the Virginian Railway. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs Helen Overstreet Witt; two sons, Levander S Witt and Carl Ashby Witt and a daughter Miss Faye Elizabeth Witt all of Huddleston; a sister Mrs Lillie Overby of Springwood and a brother S.B. Witt of Lynchburg.
