Ruby Marie was born on May 18, 1918, to Thomas Arthur and Leora (Couchman) Ables, at Lehigh, OK. She attended Grasshopper, Shady Grove, Tushka, and Atoka Schools. Ruby worked for the Atoka Hospital for several years. She married Samuel Thomas "ST" York. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. She loved horses, reading, and was very interested in Irish Traditions. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joe Thomas York; husband; sisters, Pauline Reasor and Geneva leeper and a brother, Boag Ables. Graveside services 10 a.m. Tuesday, Wards Chapel Cemetery (Brown's, Atoka).
