Peter T. Hedges
Peter T[hompson] Hedges, age 93, for 15 years a citizen of Canton, laid down life's battles Thursday, June 12, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ida Cronkhite, Danville, Illinois. His remains were brought to Canton Saturday, and on Sunday a funeral service was held for him at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C[harles] J. {Mattie} Horn. The sermon was preached by Rev. Geo. L. Peters, of Kansas City, a former pastor.
In 1857, he was married to Mary A[nn] Vaughn [sic: Vawter], in Kentucky, who died in 1912 in this city, and was buried in Forest Grove cemetery, and by the side of whose body the deceased was laid.--Canton News.
