OBIT: Lelia Wilson Dies Tuesday.
Mrs. Lelia Wilson, 84, of Prophetstown, died Tuesday afternoon, April 26, in the Hill Nursing home in Sterling. Lelia Jessie Besse was born July 2, 1870, in Portland Township, the daughter of George and Emma Allen Besse. She attended Portland rural school. In 1895 she was married to Frank C. Wilson of Geneseo. Mrs. Wilson had lived in Prophetstown the last 30 years.

Surviving are two sons, George F. of Prophetstown and Arthur C. of Tampico, three sisters, Miss Daisy Besse of Prophetstown, Mrs. Louise Dirk of Rock Island and Mrs. Clyde Barge of Rantoul, Kansas, six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon April 28th at the Gardner Mortuary, Prophetstown, the Rev. William Dupree officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo.
