Robert Patrick Mooney II, "Pat", 66, a resident of Mayo and Deale for almost 40 years, died October 18.
He was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in East Pines before graduating from Avon High School in Indiana in 1961. During his senior year of high school, he lived with his cousins, Ivan, Ruth, Tracy and Lana Scott, in Avon, Ind.
He worked as an automobile mechanic and a home builder, as well as a maintenance engineer for Judd & Detweiler Printing Company in Washington, D.C. before retiring in 2005. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, boating, and the extensive reconstruction and remodeling of his home in Deale.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen Marie Mooney; and his parents, Robert Patrick Mooney and Kathlyn June Reimer Mooney.
He is survived by his wife, Rae Garcia Mooney; son, Robert Patrick Mooney III and his wife Chrissy; five grandsons, Robert Patrick Mooney IV, Brian James Mooney, Sean Patrick Mooney, Christopher Mooney and Matthew Duncan; sister, Karen Roberts and her husband John; niece, Jessica Snoberger; nephew, Eric Roberts; and former wife, Ruth Lee DeVaughn.
