Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas (Gladys) Hosmer, 71, Artesian, will be at 10 am Friday at the Farewell United Methodist Church south of Artesian.
The Rev. Owen Spurrell will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery in Alexandria. The body will lie in state from 7-9 pm Thursday at the Milliken funeral chapel in Artesian.
She was born Feb. 10, 1901 at Bethany, Mo., to Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Hix and died May 16 at the Mitchell hospital. On Feb. 28, 1923 she married Thomas Hosmer at Sioux City. She was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service.
Survivors include her widower; one son, Thomas Dale, Artesian; five brothers, Glen Hix, Orlando, Fla.; Ralph Hix, Hastings, Minn.; James Hix, Denver; Everett Hix, Mitchell, and Alvin Hix, Silver Springs, Md., and a sister, Mrs. William Walsh, Orlando.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
