Margaret M. Andersen, 93, of Belvidere, IL died Monday morning, March 26, 2007 in Maple Crest Nursing Home.
Margaret was born August 8, 1913 in Belvidere, Illinois the daughter of Louis and Anna (Nimtz) Behling. She graduated from Belvidere High School class of 1931. Margaret and Wayne Andersen were married in Belvidere on November 29, 1934, he is predeceased. Over the years, Margaret worked for National Sewing Machine as a small drill press machinist and later for George Graves. Margaret was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Ladies Guild, and the Over 50 adult group of the church. In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed sewing, particularly making dresses, and playing cards.
Survivors include her children, Norris Andersen of Jupiter, FL, Ronald (Nancy) Andersen of Wausau, WI, Linda (Greg) Pyle of Ballwin, MO; grandchildren, Gary Andersen, Gerald Andersen, Theresa Holewinski, Katie Pyle, Jeffrey Pyle, Alicia Pyle; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; special niece, Darlene Bicksler and special friend, Hazel Daniels.
Margaret is predeceased by her parents, husband, grandson, Gregory Norris Andersen; brothers Elmer and Fred Behling; sisters, Rose Rhode, Pearl Johnson, Esther Schafman.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2007 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Belvidere, IL with Rev. Allan Buss, pastor officiating. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2007 in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL.
