Jim in younger years known by his immediate family as "Bill" was raised in poverty stricken Goodwin, AR area raising crops. He joined the Army in abt. 1942 Missouri. He married as a young 17 yr. old, having 3 children. Moved to Flint, MI 1951,52 worked at Fischer Body Chevrolet. Was divorced and married second time 1957, Wicket, TX and had 4 children. Became a successful Auto Parts Store owner to 4 various stores in and around the Colorado area to include Cripple Creek and Buena Vista. In 1957 - 1961 owned Elco Service Station and Parts; Midland, TX Hwy 81. Recorded a LP now-a-day novice song which is heard by many. "Honey You Talk to Much", dedicated to his wife, Verda.
