JOSEPH CARPINE DIES SATURDAY; ILL ONLY 4 DAYS
Joseph James Carpine, 32-year-old Coal Creek resident, died at 3 o'clock this morning in a Canon City hospital. Death resulted from influenza, with which he had been ill four days.
Born in Coal Creek on June 26, 1904, Mr. Carpine had resided there all his life with the exception of 16 years in Seattle, Wash.
He was married June 25, 1930 to Miss Josephine Piraglia, and two children were born to this union, Louis Joseph, 11 months old and Joan, who died three years ago.
He is survived by his widow, one child and several other relatives. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Holt Funeral Home.
