THOMAS BABB

Thos. Babb was born in Virginia, April 25, 1832. His parents later moved to Missouri and settled in Hannibal. He was married to Sarah Buzzard on April 30, 1856, in Marion county, Mo., and to this union were born eight children, two of whom died in early life. His wife passed away in Shelbina, Mo., in April, 1905 (sic), and the incident grief and shock of his loss caused his mind to be impaired and for the past three years he has been cared for at the County Infirmary. His death occurred March 21, 1914.
He joined the Hunnewell Baptist Church in 1868; later moved his membership to Shelbina, and lived a devoted Christian life. His last breath was one of glad exulitation that he would soon be with the Saviour.
For nearly 30 years he was the engineer in the Shelbina Roller Mills, and was a highly respected citizen of the town, well known by all the older residents. A. V.
