Services for Emmett Griffin Banks, Sr., 90 of Loraine were held at 2:00 p m. Sunday. Graveside services with Dr. Ernest Bailey officiating. Burial was in Colorado City Cemetery.
Mr. Banks, Sr., died September 11, 1992 at Loraine Nursing Center. He was born July 7, 1902 in Parker County, Texas He married Pearl Willie Davis December 27,1924 in Knox County. She died October 28,1981.
Mr Banks was a retired auto mechanic, retiring after 48 years in business. He was a member of the Oak St. Baptist Church. He was proceeded in death by his wife and one daughter, Marcelle Montis.
Survivors include 1 son, Emmett Banks, Jr. of Colorado City, Texas; 2 sisters, Mrs Loy Green of Highland, Texas; Mrs. L. Z. Castleberry of Beaumont, Texas; and 7 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild
