Guy Coonrod, 84, Route 3, Monticello, passed away at 6:15 pm Saturday at the Delphi Nursing Home where he has been for 15 months. The deceased was born October 8, 1889, to David and Ruth (Pollock) Coonrod in Liberty Township, White County, where he had lived his entire life. He was married November 11, 1911, to Olive Hughes who passed away February 28, 1969. He was a retired farmer and lifelong member of the sitka Baptist Church. Surviving are one son, Eugene Coonrod of Route 3, Monticello; one brother, Harold Coonrod of Dania, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Estella Girard of South Bend, and Mrs. Edith Evernham of Waveland, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Sitka Baptist Church with Rev Ben Lowther officiating. Burial was in the Hughes Cemetery.
