Mrs Josie Lott Smith, Homemaker, of Beaver Drive, died Tuesday, June 13, 1989, at Humana Hospital, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 3pm Friday at Marks Baptist Church, with the Rev Michael L Davenport officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs Smith, a native of Edgefield County, SC, had lived in Augusta for 22 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Marks Baptist Church, where she was a member of Worthwhile Sunday School Class and taught for a number of years in the children's department.

Survivors include her husband, Horace B Smtih, two sons, Alan Smith, Goose Creek, SC, and James W Smith, Aiken, a daughter, Annette J Morris, North Augusta, a brother, Howard W Lott, Trenton, SC, and 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Capt Luttrell Smith, Ted Smith, Louis Franklin Moris, James W Smith Jr, Ronald J Highland and Danile Robinson Jr. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm today at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road.
