Frank Abbott Dead.
Frank Abbott, who has been ill for the past year with Bright's disease, died early this morning. He had been ailing with the disease for some time but several weeks ago it was thought that he would recover. Developments, though proved to be more serious than was expected and during the past week or two has been in such a condition that hopes for recovery were given up.

In the death of Mr. Abbott, Great Bend loses one of its well respected citizens. He has made this city his home for twenty years, coming here from Greenwood county, Kansas,in 1897. Mr. Abbott had followed the carpenter trade as a profession and was one of the best in his line of work. He was an ambitious man and this summer when it was thought that he would recover he started out to work, but could not stand it and later had to stay at home. He was a member of the W.O.W. lodge.

Mr. Abbott was born in Dayton, Ohio, July 14, 1865, and died in this city, Oct. 19, 1917. He leaves a wife and two sons, Harry and Ray to mourn his loss. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 from the home, 1706 Broadway.
