Janice Violet Adams Penn, 82, passed away June 23, 2002, at Lakewood Christian Care in Fort Worth, TX. She was born on June 2, 1920 in Blanco, TX to John Aaron Adams and Ethel D. Stover. She married Lt. Col. Perry Harrison Penn who preceded her in death in 1999 after 56 years of marriage. Janice retired as a teacher from San Antonio. She was a member of Colonial Hills Methodist Church. Janice and Perry were past presidents of Astro Twirlers Square Dance Club and Air Stream Travel Club. Survivors: daughter, Polly Sue Adkison and husband Dewain of Houston, MO; son, Perry H. Penn, Jr. and wife Glenda of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, David Adkison, Cyndy Tonniges, Janet Adkison, Perry H. Penn III, and Mischel Penn; great-grandchildren, Caleb Adkison, Sarah Tonniges, and Max Harrison Tonniges; brother, John T. Adams of Prescott, AZ and other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at 2:30 P.M. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. The family requests that donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation. Davis Funeral Chapel Ft.
