Gertie M. Eagle was born July 3, 1928, in Hayti, MO, a daughter of Walter Lee and Hattie Mae Brown McNew. She married Robert Eagle Nov. 15, 1946, in Parigould, AR.
Surviving are her son, James 'Mike' (Toni) Eagle; three half brothers; two half sisters three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 11, 1993; and a son, Richard Austin Eagle.
