Thomas Green, retired butcher, died at his home, 348 Hipple Court at 5 o'clock this morning, following a brief illness.
Mr. Green was a son of Patrick and Mary Rafferty Green and was born in Orion Township Nov. 15, 1854. He was united in marriage June 10, 1875 at Canton to Mary A. Halligan. There survive three children; John T. Green, Fred R. Green and Mrs. Charles H. Brown, all of Canton. There are seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, James Green and John Green, both of Canton, also survive.
Mr. Green had been a resident of Canotn for the past 50 years. Prior to that he resided on a farm in Orion Township. He was a butcher by trade but had been retired for the past 10 years.
Funeral services will be held at the residence Wednesday moring at 10 o'clock, the Rev. Leonard c. Hursh officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
