3 Sept 1931
On Saturday, July 25, at nine o'clock the Death Angel visited our home and claimed for it's own, our dear grand-mother, Mrs. Frona Davis, wife of Calvin Davis.
She was 75 years of age and had lived a true Christian life until God called her home to rest. She joined the Methodist church at an early age and obeyed the Lord. She is greatly missed in the home and family. She was known all over Wayne county, and was loved by all who knew her. She was sick about seven weeks.
She leaves her husband, one daughter and a large number of relatives to mourn their loss. Her remains were laid to rest in the Bethesda cemetery, to await the resurrection morn.
