George W. McDaniel was born in West Providence Township, Bed. Co., Pa. about 4 miles South of Everett on what is called locally as Clear Ridge, on one of the McDaniel homestead farms. His father John died when he was only 3. George was a farmer all his life and died on the same farm he was born. Baughman Church where he is buried is about 3 miles from his home. He was in Co.C 133 Regt. Pa. Vol.in the Civil War.
