Hutson, Mary Dean, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Thursday, October 13th, 2011 at Life Care Center of Tullahoma at the age of 83 years, 7 months, and 4 days. Born in Anderson County, Tennessee, Mrs. Hutson was the Valedictorian of her high school class, was the supervisor of the Secretarial Pool at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, starting in 1945, and was a member of Shady Grove Garden Club, the Tullahoma Women's Club, and First Baptist Church in Tullahoma where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. She also worked as a Sales Clerk at The Flower Shoppe here in Tullahoma. In addition to her parents, Chester A. and Mary Alice Hammock Merritt, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wallace Hutson and 9 brothers and sisters, Mossie Edith Merritt Meredith, Myrtle Merritt, Georgia Merritt, Elmer A. Merritt, Chester Arthur Merritt, Walter Curtis Merritt, Charles Edward Merritt, Thomas Adrain Merritt, and William Leroy Merritt. She is survived by 2 daughters, Janie Pack and her husband Kenny of Tullahoma, and Julie Foreman and her husband Steven of Tullahoma; 1 son, Kent Hutson and his wife Denise of Nolensville; 1 sister, Violet Wallace of Clinton, TN; 4 grandchildren, Christopher Foreman, Andrea Houser, Audrey Gibson, and Mallory LePourtre; and 2 great grandchildren, Spence Houser and William Hutson Gibson. Visitation for Mrs. Hutson will be held on Saturday, October 15th, 2011 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 1:00-3:00pm with the funeral immediately following at 3:00pm in The Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. J. Herbert Hester officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
