James W."JIM" Arterburn 65 of Carterville Mo. pased away Wednesday October 26, 2011 at Freeman East Hospital after a short illness.

Born November 12, 1945 in Whitesboro, Tex. he was the son of the late Leslie V. and Lucy Mayo Arterburn and had lived in Joplin area since the age of eleven. Jim was currently employed at Mitchell Mills (formerly General Steel) for over 20 years. In his early life he worked for the former 10-4 Truck Stop in Joplin and Jackson and Jordan Fabrication in Baxter Springs Kan.

Survivors include. two daughters, Terri Manning of Carterville Mo. Misty Ferguson andhusband Ronald of Joplin. one son, Brian Arterburn and wife Mandy of Carterville. one sister, Kay Goff and husband Billy Joe of Joplin. a sister in law Florence Arterburn of the Dallas TX. area. eight grandchildren, Maddie, Zack, Keaton, Kimberly, Amanda, Dalton, Zac, and Tayler; one greatgrandson, Kyson and many extended family and friends.

TWO brothers; Leslie and Joe Paul Arterburn preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held 3;30p.m. Saturday at Parker Mortuary with Rev. Fay Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the mortuary. Private graveside services will be in Fairview Cemetery..
