Services for Lonnie B. Best, 81, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Oakley-Metcalf Chapel with Rev. Horace Fletcher officiating and burial in Bennett Cemetery.
Mr. Best, of Apple Springs, died Tuesday morning in a Lufkin hospital. He was a retired farmer and rancher and was a member of a Baptist Church.
Survivors: sons, L. C., Aubrey, Ralph, Lloyd and C. B. "Ben" Best; daughters, Mrs. Bettye Dennis and Mrs. Josephine Spradley; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
