Thomas Lester Johnson, (Buck), 90, of Bedford, passed away Monday, June 4, 2001 in the Bedford County Nursing Home. He was born June 9, 1910 in Bedford County, a son of the late Drewry Francis Johnson and Alpine Wilson Johnson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Overstreet Witt Johnson; a sister, Ethel Johnson; and a stepson, Lavander D. Witt. He is survived by a stepson, a stepdaughter,;six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren [names removed for privacy]. A funeral service will be conducted from the graveside at the Leftwich Cemetery on Thursday, June 7, 2001 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Wayne Murphy. Friends may call after 12 noon today and the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home, Huddleston.
