In a news article written in 1973 by his half sister, Jessie, she referred to him as Jeff. (So is Jackson correct?) William J. is correct per census records. His mother, Martha, had a brother named William Jackson lightfoot of cobbtown, GA.
She stated Jeff died of typhoid fever. He had a wife name Leila and two children, Annie and Willie Lightfoot.
